The cottages are on the Avon Valley Path on the edge of the New Forest with its wild ponies and common land strewn with wild flowers. There are many foot/cycle paths, excellent horse riding and numerous pubs and restaurants to visit.

There are many attractions within easy reach such as Salisbury Cathedral, Stonehenge, the Owl Sanctuary Ringwood, Beaulieu Abbey, the National Motor Museum, the Royal Navy Museum at Portsmouth - Nelson's Ship Victory and the Mary Rose.

The New Forest Water Park is 3 miles away for water & jet skiing. There are also many beach resorts including Bournemouth and Studland and famous yachting havens such as Lymington. A short walk away is the Tudor Rose pub & the high class restaurant The Hour Glass.
